Casey Stoner became the third premier-class world champion since 2001 with a phenomenal second season in the category; his first as a works Ducati rider. With a background in Australian dirt-track, Stoner boldly moved to Europe as a teenager, where he shone on a 125cc machine in the UK and Spain. A five-year rise into MotoGP saw two 125cc wins and five 250cc successes, and he even managed a podium result with 2nd place on only his third MotoGP outing in 2006. Stoner is the second youngest rider to win the premier class title after 1983 Champion Freddie Spencer. Oakley’s superstar rally car speed demon displayed their affection for the world-famous race, claiming yet another triumph to kick off the 2012 World Rally Championship season in signature style. It was a clean sweep, with Sebastien and teammate Daniel Elena racking up bonus points by dusting the field in the Power Stage.

Ryan Dungey made major noise with bold moves in the off-season. Opting for a switch to KTM in efforts to reclaim his glory from 2010 Supercross and AMA Motocross Titles, Oakley’s Star Rider displayed his intentions for change. And if there were ever any doubts about his move, most were put to rest this past Saturday as he claimed a resounding Phoenix victory to hand KTM their first-ever Supercross triumph…ever. A raucous 49,236 fans watched Ryan dominate the Main Event, wire-to-wire after a grabbing the Holeshot. Although fellow Oakley riders Davi Millsaps and Ryan Villopoto were hot on his tail, the Minnesota speed demon pulled away to cruise to victory.
