LeMans was drenched this past weekend as MotoGP raged into town. Both in rain and drama, that is. Addressing the media again after a headline filled week lined with chatter about his retirement from the sport, Oakley’s MotoGP Defending World Champion Casey Stoner reaffirmed his intentions to walk away from his life as a pro rider following the season’s end. But as the buzz continued off the track, the Grand Prix of France saw some of the worst conditions in recent memory. The show went on, however, opening the door for Oakley’s MotoGP Legend Valentino Rossi to capitalize on the situation.

Title Defense: MotoGP Star Casey Stoner Nabs 42nd Victory at Estoril, Portugal
Casey Stoner is clearly in top form. Oakley’s defending MotoGP World Champion claimed his second consecutive victory on the season in Estoril, clipping Jorge Lorenzo and bumping the Spaniard out of the top spot in the Championship standings to reclaim No. 1 with 66 points. It was also the Aussie’s 42nd overall triumph.

Casey Stoner is back in top form. Big time. Oakley’s defending MotoGP World Champion picked up his dominance where he left off last season, racking up his first triumph of the season in Jerez after clipping Dani Pedrosa and holding off Jorge Lorenzo for a special win in Spain.
