Bermuda: Golf Star Keegan Bradley Triumphs at PGA Grand Slam of Golf
Keegan Bradley already smashed his way onto “the map” this year.
So it was only a reaffirmation of the talented O Golfer’s bright future when he dropped into Bermuda for the PGA Grand Slam of Golf…and took out the rest of the year’s major tournament winners – emerging 4-under for the victory.
Taking on the Port Royal Golf Course alongside fellow O Golf Superstar Rory McIlroy, the two shared the lead after the first day. It was Charl Shwartzel who became the most viable threat after some time passed, however. Rory’s second shot at seven veered far left – setting off events that lead to three bogeys to drop to one-under.
Despite some amazing play from Shwartzel – including a huge putt on the 5th and five birdies in a row – Keegan wouldn’t let up, fighting him off to cruise to an impressive win.
“This is a really very nice way to top off the season, it’s been crazy,” Keegan said, sporting his Oakley golf shirt, pants, golf shoes, belt and eyewear. “If you would have told me at the beginning of the year I would have won the Grand Slam I probably would have laughed at you.”
No one’s laughing now. He’s proven himself to be one of the most down-to-earth and talented young players on the Planet.
“It all seems like a dream just now.”
