Bio

Vert sensation Sandro Dias got his first taste of skateboarding atop a janky, busted borrowed board from a friend in Brazil. After his father realized how much Sandro enjoyed skating, he sprang for a new setup for Sandro on Christmas. The fire was lit within Sandro, and a successful career was in the future. At the tender age of eight, Sandro entered his first contest and earned an eighth place finish.

After moving to the United States, Sandro competed in his first contest in 1996, the first of countless successful contest entries to come. With his smooth, relaxed style and razor-sharp precision, he’s one of the most respected and feared vert contest skaters around. Sandro’s notable contest wins include first place finishes at the 2007 Mystic Cup and 2006 Asian X Games. Sandro is one of only three people who’ve landed a 900, and was the first to pull one in competition.

There’s no doubt that Sandro Dias is a powerhouse in the vert skateboarding world. He brings a level of excitement and gnarliness that few others can match.
